LEESBURG, VA, October 5, 2020 — ClearFocus Technologies announced a prime contract with the Nevada National Security Site’s (NNSS’s) subsidiary, Special Technologies Laboratories (STL), to provide Industrial Control Systems (ICS) Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Cybersecurity services in support of developing new cybersecurity protections for our nation’s electrical grid. ClearFocus will support STL by providing next-generation cyber defenses for their Operational Technology networks.
About the NNSS: The NNSS and its related facilities help ensure the security of the United States and its allies by: supporting the stewardship of the nation’s nuclear deterrent; providing nuclear and radiological emergency response capabilities and training; contributing to key nonproliferation and arms control initiatives; executing national-level experiments in support of the National Laboratories; working with national security customers and other federal agencies on important national security activities; and providing long-term environmental stewardship of the NNSS’s Cold War legacy. STL specializes in the focused development of special-purpose devices, measurement instruments, and analysis methods tailored to the needs of the government end-user. The laboratory is skilled in fielding complex experiments for field deployment or laboratory application of measurement and analysis tools, as well as deployment of resources and technology to support global field requirements of the U.S. Government.
